British pop singer Katy B is set to drop her new full-length project, Honey, in a few months. At the end of last year, she shared a taste via “Calm Down,” a collab with Four Tet and Floating Points. It turns out the entire thing is a collaborative project with 19 other artists total, including Major Lazer, Craig David, the HeavyTrackers, Novelist, and many more. It seems with so much input from artists of such varied genres and sensibilities, the breadth of sounds on this thing will be broad and awesome. Lead single “Calm Down” was nice piece of bouncy dance-pop, and today she follows up with the R&B-leaning title track.

Katy B enlists the soulful electronic Haitian-Canadian producer KAYTRANADA for a sultry, smooth romp. Slow, lingering synth progressions intermingle with flighty synth flourishes while heavy tribal drums and quick bass stabs hold down the low-end. Katy B’s vocal has the consistency of honey, drizzling over the beat as she asks some seductive questions to goad.
