Jonteknik Music is proud to announce the release of the new Jonteknik album entitled 'The Satellites of Substance'.
Recently Jon Russell (aka Jonteknik) found a new fascination, that of communications and satellite technology. It went as far as spurring him on to produce an album inspired by the subject. The album reflects his heavy influence of all things Kraftwerk and electronic for which Jon makes no apology. A recent article at Vader Evader online describes one of Jonteknik's tracks as 'heading the peloton into the Turbine Hall', a clear reference to Kraftwerk's residency at Tate Modern earlier this year. Jon learned a lot of his craft whilst work alongside synth pioneer Paul Humphreys (of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark) on the 'Onetwo' project, including programming on 'Cloud 9' which features Depeche Mode's Martin Gore on guitar. Jonteknik went on to officially remix OMD's single 'Metroland' early in 2013.
