"Seven and the Ragged Tiger" was the third studio album from DURAN DURAN released in Nov 1983.
"'Seven and the Ragged Tiger' is an adventure story about a little commando team. ’The Seven' is for us — the five band members and the two managers — and 'the Ragged Tiger' is success. Seven people running after success. It's ambition. That's what it's about." (Simon Le Bon)
The album featured the singles "Union of the Snake", "New Moon on Monday", "The Reflex" (DURAN DURAN's first number one hit) and "Tiger Tiger" (Japan only).
This 2CD+DVD special packaging edition features the original album on disc one, plus a second disc containing non-album singles, B-sides and alternative mixes. The DVD contains "As the Lights Go Down" - a film conceived by DURAN DURAN and Russell Mulcahy, as well as the videos from "Seven and the Ragged Tiger" and two Top of the Pops performances. It comes in special clam-shell box with a lift-off lid, containing an eight-page booklet, five postcards of individual band shots, and a folded poster approximately 30cm x 38cm used in the original Japanese LP.
