glenn love is a canadian underground artist from toronto. over the past five years he has performed at several darkraves, playing both the chillout room and the main stage. these live performances and his 2 cd releases 'cruel utopia' (2001) and 'belle epoque' (2005) have established his reputation as a creative solo electronic musician. 'electronica at its finest' - canadian-music.com. the 2005 album 'belle epoque' presents dark electronic beats combined with diverse elements from neo-folk, electro, trance, ambient and celtic themes. with this album, glenn continued with the practice of crafting all of his own beats, samples and loops. also, the album features two powerful and danceable remixes by the german industrial music acts antistasis and t.h. industry. 'belle epoque' has been released on the german record label sonic-x, known for its support to non-conformist electronic music. the album was recorded april to august 2004 with engineer lorne hounsell at monumental sound in toronto and was mastered in germany in 2005 at sonic-x studio/ts-musix by thomas steuer. soon after the release in canada, 'belle epoque' charted at #1 on the ciut-fm electronica chart for 09 sept. 2005 and charted again at #1 for the week of 16 sept. 2005!!!
