New album in Digipak
Schonwald is all about atmospheres: hypnotic minimalist mood and a noise inclination with echoes of Suicide, New Order, The Cure, mingling with synth melodies straight from the 80s. The Italian duo formed by Alessandra Gismondi (vocals, bass) and Luca Bandini (guitar, synth and drum machine) has been touring all across Europe for the past four years, becoming one of the key figures of the European dark scene, also thanks to the extremely good response to their previous albums ‘Amplified Nature’ (2009) and ‘Dream for the Fall’ (2014), both sold out and deleted now.
Schonwald are now releasing their eagerly expected third album ‘Between Parallel Lights’. The Mood on the new album consist in highly gloomy, suspense-filled material with dark coloured melodies and atmosphere of claustrophobic menace. Cascading from jangling, psychedelic and warped guitars to galloping tribal drumming, via endless layers of mesmerizing synths. Not only since the phenomenal success of their previous album ‘Dream of the Fall’, it is clear, that Schonwald are here to stay and have become one of most important players in the new dark scene!
