The recordings for ASSEMBLAGE 23's seventh regular full-length album, "Bruise", were completed in late February. The album will be released in June and will be available in both a regular and limited edition version. The originally announced "The Noise Inside My Head EP" will not be released as planned as singles have now become a sort of 'dead' format... Instead all the remixes recorded for the planned EP have been included in the limited edition of "Bruise".
According to Tom Sheer in his own words: "'Bruise' is coming along very nicely and I'm really happy with how it's coming out. I think the songs are some of the catchiest ones I've done with a lot of emphasis on melody. Style-wise, it is sort of an interesting combination of retro and futuristic influences."
The limited edition comes with a ten-tracks bonus album, featuring three EXCLUSIVE tracks, not on the regular album, plus seven additional remixes of album tracks by GRENDEL, HAUJOBB, IVARDENSPHERE, TENEK, CESIUM 137, ALTER DER RUINE and SONIK FOUNDRY.
