I just had to respond to the other reviewer of this album who has so completely missed the point with his comments. The guitar playing on this album is superb and so, even more importantly, are the songs. That's not something you can say about most Malmsteen albums. Axel's style of playing and songwriting is firmly set in the Ritchie Blackmore Rainbow mould; great riffs, superb solos and fantastic melodies. If you like Rainbow albums such as Rising, Rainbow and Long Live Rock'n'Roll then you'll love this album. Most of the songs are either mid or slow tempo with the odd faster one thrown in for good measure. His other albums such as eg. Black Moon Pyramid, Masquerade Ball are also excellent and well worth a listen. If you are a fan of heavy, melodic rock then this album will make a fine addition to your collection.
