Дебютный альбом Шведской синтипоп команды!
The electro band ME THE TIGER was born in Falun, Sweden, in the spring of 2012. Since the beginning, the band has, among other things, played with Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode), been awarded a diversity scholarship (by their home municipality) and been nominated as “best band” on Dalecarlia Music Awards.
In September 2015 ME THE TIGER released the album “Vitriolic” through the German electro label Repo Records. The album has been hailed by the press throughout Europe and has, together with the singles “What Promises Are Worth” and “As We Really Are”, reached high positions on the Austrian Indie Chart, European Alternative Chart and German Electronic Webchart. ME THE TIGER has also been on rotation on MTV in Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia.
The band is an appreciated live act and has toured extensively since the start. The UK based synth and electro magazine Cold War Night Life praised the band after their performance at the festival Electronic Summer in Gothenburg 2015: “It’s testimony to Andersson’s exceptional songwriting skills, but Åström’s nitro-fuelled delivery is also one of the highlights of the festival. They return to “All We Had” to close the set, basking in the after-glow and leaving the audience needing more.”
The lyrics as well as the band’s message is a central part of ME THE TIGER. In the days when individualism thrives, the band want to highlight the solidarity values and contribute to a fairer and warmer society. We live together and we have a shared responsibility to take care of each other – regardless of class, ethnicity or gender.
