Hamburg’s Gothic-Metal-high flyers Lord Of The Lost are sending out the catchy epic „Afterlife“, as a first glimpse into their next album. Limited to 777 copies, the MCD features three versatile versions of the title track and two exclusive songs.
Hamburg-based band Lord Of The Lost is a phenomenon. With an explosive, yet emotional mix of Gothic, Glam, Metal, Electronica and Industrial, plus a tiny helping of Prog, and driven by a sheer endless series of live shows at which the congenial lads prove their outstanding qualities as entertainers evening upon evening, this exceptional band has quickly played itself into the hearts of a steadily growing fan base. The new single “Afterlife”, has Chris Harms and his crew providing us with a first glimpse of material from their upcoming album, “From The Flame Into The Fire”, planned for release in May. In fitting with the wintery feeling at the time of its release, the band has chosen a catchy, yet epic piece that combines lots of atmosphere with gigantic guitar riffs and a memorable melody. The title song is included in three versions on this Maxi-CD (limited to 777 hand numbered copies), with the quiet and intense piano version and the massive “Afterlife Of Death”-remix by Unzucht unearthing completely different sides to this potential hit tune. As a bonus, Lord Of The Lost have recorded two exclusive b-side songs for this release, with the atmospheric ballad “Morsal”, which features special guest star JoHanna Moresco of The Crüxshadows on violin, stealing the show and providing the perfect mood for the cold season. In combination with the title piece which is one of the catchiest songs that the group has ever recorded, this package is the perfect calm before the storm that will be unleashed unto us in form of the next album (which will turn out a lot harder, quite in fitting with its title.)
