Active since 1993, Rudy Ratzinger's project :WUMPSCUT: is one of the VERY few industrial acts who have succeeded in maintaining a prominent position in electronic music since its very beginnings, with "Music for a Slaughering Tribe" and a total of 18 albums so far in the :WUMPSCUT: discography.Riding high on the success of his previous two albums, Rudy now presents his latest effort "Schrekk & Graus", loosely translated as "Scare & Horror", and despite his worldwide success (especially in Nothern America), this new album surprisingly features more German lyrics than ever. S&G offers the usual harsh industrial, synth-driven sound with distorted vocals and scary melodies. After a few excursions into more 'mellow' sound-regions, on S&G Rudy R. returns to the more aggressive, harder stuff – always maintining his special trademark: a well balanced melange of good melodies, great arrangements and industrial noise.As ever, the new album will be available in the usual sumptuous deluxe box set with exclusive contents, including a 2CD edition of the album, a "Schrekk & Grauss" Shirt (available in sizes M or XL), a "Schrekk & Grauss" A1 poster, a "Schrekk & Grauss" calendar, a "Schrekk & Grauss" sticker, and a "Schrekk & Grauss" postcard.
