POS:. 2 was founded in 2013 by Matthias Grod and Thorsten Krüger. Quite accidentally they met each other via an Internet platform for musicians, and decided – only after a short cooperation – to embark on their musical journey together.
The duo produces electronic pop music with German and English lyrics. The songs are characterized by melodic, danceable and fresh sounds and vocals.
Sound design and presentation of POS.: 2 are audibly influenced by synth-pop, electro and dance bands of the 80s and 90s. Matthias comes rather from the dance and trance area, and Thorsten has his roots in synthpop and EBM. The duo combines these different musical histories to form a new and unique sound.
In the spring of 2014, the two self-produced a demo CD with 6 tracks. For the song “Only electropop”, a first professional video was made. A short time later, in October of the same year, they started their collaboration with the label Echozone / Sonic Revolution.
Thus, the ground is prepared for their first album, which will be released in spring 2015 ton Echozone. The first digital single “Only electropop” is being published in December 2014. The second single is planned for March 2015 already.
In addition to their original work, POS.: 2 have been producing remixes for synth-pop bands such as “Parralox” or “In good faith”.
