After the first download single ”Der Weg“ from autumn 2013, LOEWENHERTZ now present their much-anticipated debut album “Irgendwo in Deutschland” impressing the audience with ten perfect first-class electro pop songs. No one less than José Alvarez Brill (Heppner, Witt, Wolfsheim, Unheilig) as well as Hayo Lewerentz and Graham Laybourne (U96, Boytronic) together with Andreas Scherer and Martin Hanslbauer are responsible for the album’s mastering and production resulting in a solid sound which gives the infectious compositions the necessary drive.
The musical affinity for bands like De/Vision (Friends Like Me), Depeche Mode (Addicted To You), Wolfsheim (Der Weg), !distain or the early Hubert Kah (Endlose Räume) is admittedly unmistakable. However, LOEWENHERTZ skilfully play with various electro pop styles whereas one half of the album is sung in German and the other one in English. Above all floats the memorable and expressive voice of vocalist Alex who knows how to give impressive depth especially to the melancholy German songs (Gemeinsame Zeiten, Heimkehr).
The album contains four bonus tracks which up to now have only been released digitally, featuring a special Wunderland club mix, a !distain remix of the first single “Der Weg” as well as two remixes of the video single “Fly With Me”, i. a. remixed by DJRAM & SD. After the release of the album, there will be another download single “Gemeinsame Zeiten” available at the beginning of June including a new video clip as well.
The band plans to play several concerts during the year. Among others, a show together with Joachim Witt at April 30 in Hanover is already confirmed.
