For their debut album with BOREDOMproduct, the band displays the full range of what they have to offer. The album starts with "Desillusion" which presents their electro pop side with a very Peter Hook-ish sound. Then the new version of "Blue Eyed Boy" is the trio at their most pop. "Poupée Mecanique" is a full electro and dance track with inhabited lyrics and chant. And "Balloons and Zeppelin", with its more minimal and intimate sound truly stands out as their more cinematic track launched by a heady guitar bass riff.
With two lead singers, Happiness Project creates an original and personal blend of electronic music with distinctively critical lyrics and themes (human condition within new technologies, environment...). The 11 versatile tracks of 9th Heaven present several facets and emotions with a unique identity.
