Отличный синтипоп с женским вокалом в духе групп Marsheaux и Parralox.

British synthpop act that combines old-school, bouncy synthpop with a cool female lead vocalist. It has a very retro feel and has very catchy songs that sound like a collection of could-have-been.80's hits.
"Wired" is the new release from NORTHERN KIND, the Leicester-based electro pop duo whose first album, "53 Degrees North", reached number five in the Swedish Album charts and made the Top 10 download charts across Europe. It gained the band a passionate following in the UK and won them prestigious dates supporting GARY NUMAN and a string of gigs alongside 80s greats including MIDGE URE, BOY GEORGE, HOWARD JONES, PAUL YOUNG and KIM WILDE.
The brainchild of Matt Culpin and singer Sarah Heeley, NORTHERN are regulars at major London-based electro venues including Electronically Yours and Bedsitland. Matt says: "With our first album I really wanted to create a Yazoo for the '00s and it was heavily influenced by those early 1980s electronic bands. The new album, "Wired", is less about celebrating our influences and more about defining our own sound. In terms of quality of production and song writing this album is much better."
Simon Heyworth, one of the world's most well-respected mastering engineers, was equally pleased with the result: "What's good about this record is that the songs are original and really well executed. While it seems on the face of it to be harking back to a particular time and style, the album stands up on its own."
Gareth Jones, producer of DEPECHE MODE and ERASURE also noted: "No doubt this will be a very important electronic album for 2009".
