So much negation in the language. So much force in the expression. So much changeableness. Doesn’t Rhyme With King have created an album which drags you through all highs and lows there are. After their first single “Can’t Tell the Difference”, 21st April 2017 will see the release of the complete debut album, which bears the band’s name, at the label Cosmic Star Records. You will find yourself listening to inner monologues about disorientation, despair and fighting spirit. “Sink In” breathlessly staggers, searching for meaning. And every line of “Complain & Survive” is so heartbreakingly honest that you will sink completely into the world of Inken and her brother Henning März. After “Can’t Tell the Difference” it’s clear that Doesn’t Rhyme With King can knock down doors with their sound. But their trump lies in knowing when to be silent. Ten songs that are each one-of-a-kind and yet have the same handwriting. The album closes with “Epilogue”, with brilliant gloom. Entirely in the album’s spirit, Bernd Zeier designed the artwork and put cover and booklet together like a mosaic. Just as rich in detail as the music itself.
