Lead singer of Swiss rockers Favez for over a decade, Chris Wicky is back with his second solo album under the Sad Riders moniker. Seven years after "Lay Your Head On The Soft Rock" (a Mojo UK 4 star Americana album of the month) "In The End We Always Win" is an altogether different deal. Over thirteen songs, the band roams from simple acoustic niceness (Victoria) to full blown rockers (Travel Light), swinging country music (Mr. Porter) and classy string driven ballads (Sorry As I). Played with passion and maturity, the recordings show a deep respect for the timeless tradition of elegant songwriting and intense musicianship. This unclassifiable album can also be considered a Röstigraben killer: on the french speaking side, completing Chris' singing, we have his brother Greg's guitar playing and the piano of Jeff Albelda from Favez. On the Swiss German side, Arno Troxler of Heidi Happy's band, Charlie Zimmerman and Claudio Strebel from Coal. Ladies and Gentlemen, here is the second album of The Sad Riders.
