The EBM duo SPETSNAZ formed in Örebro, Sweden in the autumn of 2001 by Stefan Nilsson and Pontus Stålberg and their debut "Grand Design" appeared in 2003, followed by selected shows in Sweden, Germany and Mexico. In 2004 the album was re-released as "Grand Design: Redesigned" by leading German electro label Out of Line and since then, SPETSNAZ have been conquering the world with a number of highly successful EPs and singles ("Perfect Body", "Degenerate Ones", "Hardcore Hooligans") and two more albums ("Totalitär" and "Deadpan"). Hit tracks like "On the Edge", "Apathy", "Faust-Pakt" and "Allegiance" have been filling the dancefloors in electronic music clubs since then, and the band has played shows at all the important festivals and on countless tours, including throughout the US.
After five years of silence with only sporadic club and festival shows, it’s now time for the fourth full-length album from the Swedish duo: an album packed with electronic body music that will move people on dancefloors all over the world and without doubt yet another example of the diversity and strength of the band's musical skills. Pounding bass, harsh but melodic voices, exciting synthesizers and, as always, lyrics worth listening to.
The bands earlier career moved them from venues in their home of Scandinavia in the north to as far south as Mexico, from Los Angeles in the west to Moscow in the east. With "For Generations to Come2 SPETSNAZ are eager to go even further as one thing is for sure: just as SPETSNAZ were the leaders of a new EBM wave some years ago, they are still very much at the top with this monster of an album!
