German electro superstars [:SITD:] (short for "Shadows in the Dark") are back this autumn with their eagerly awaited all-new album! Expect nothing less than bone-crunching beats, catchy hymns, electro purity and apocalyptic atmospheres from one of the most respected German electro outfits, who have enjoyed huge success over the past fifteen years.
Fifteen years!? Yes, indeed – although it seems like only yesterday that [:SITD:] first burst onto the international electro scene in 2001, as support act on VNV NATION's "Future Perfect" tour, and then later with their instant club classic "Snuff Machinery" (2002), in fact the project has been in (embryonic) existance since the spring of 1996. Hailing from Germany's real industrial heartland, the former coal and steel centers of the Ruhr area, [:SITD:] made a name for themselves over an extended period, and today they are considered to be one of the most acclaimed electronic projects of the current international club scene.
To celebrate this very special anniversary in the band's career, the new album is being released as a limited, super-deluxe 4CD box set. The box set includes the new studio album, a "Best Of 2001-20112" CD (with new recordings from 2011), an exclusive remix CD and an "Early Works 1996-1999" CD, featuring previously unreleased material from the early demo recordings "Trauerland" and "Atomic". The Box also contains a unique 32-page deluxe booklet, covering the history of the band over the past fifteen years.
Music-wise, the box-set offers a total of 43 (!!!) tracks - many of which are exclusive and previously unreleased - and more than four hours playing time. Very limited, so be fast!
